First and foremost, we want a family friendly environment at our track and it to be fun. That is our #1 priority. Cussing, yelling on the drivers stand, getting mad at marshals or other drivers, and roughing up other cars will not be tolerated. Consider this your warning. This is toy car racing, not F1. Most of ya have great track etiquette and we greatly appreciate that.
Racing etiquette further explained-
QUALIFYING. In the qualifying races you are racing the clock, not other drivers, so if a faster car catches you, you should not race them as they are already in front of you on time. You should move out wide on a suitable corner and let them past, you should not block them. If you are the faster driver then you should give the car in front time to move over and let you pass, do not expect to get past the instant you catch them, it is also your responsibility not to drive into the back of them and take them out.
MAINS. In the mains you are racing the other cars, but this is not a contact sport so do everything you can to not hit other cars. Driving into the back of someone and taking them out is not acceptable especially when it’s intentional or careless. We all make mistakes so if you accidentally hit another car you are trying to pass and it causes them to make a mistake, then you should wait for them and continue on behind them. If that means you lose more positions, then you should have taken more care. This also applies to the cars that are lapping, just because you are lapping slower cars does not mean you have the right to drive through them, if they don't realize you are lapping them then you can politely communicate "lapping" and give them the chance to move over.
MARSHALING. Marshaling is a part of racing, if you race then you marshal. You should always stand at the orange bucket so race director knows who is missing. There are exceptions to this rule, for instance you have poor health and are not fit to marshal and also for the youngsters who are too young, in that case the parent should take their place. If you are racing so many classes you can’t marshal, please make sure to bring someone to do so for you or find a volunteer. If you crash and are being marshalled, please stay off the throttle when the marshal is attending your car and wait to resume throttle until your car is back on the ground. If you are marshaling nitro cars, keep in mind they are hot and try to grab or flip the car from the front and back to avoid getting burned. Lastly, please stay off your phone while marshaling for your own safety and respect to the drivers. Please do not risk life and limb to marshal a car. Always look to see if there are cars coming down the track before you jump out on the track to marshal a car. If there is, wait for them to go by and then marshal the car. Same goes when you set the car back down. Make sure you don’t set it down right in front of oncoming traffic. Let the cars go by, then set it down. As drivers if you don’t like this technique of marshaling then don’t crash. The safety of the marshals is more important than anything. All marshals please be safe.
Happy Racing Race Fans.
